Yoni is a lifetime Angeleno, born and raised in the Hollywood/Universal City area. From a young age, Yoni was drawn to rapping, beatboxing, and hand drums. However, he really discovered his intense passion for music when he began playing guitar at age 11.
In High School, Yoni joined the Jazz Ensemble which he considers a significant formative experience. Aside from making lifelong friends, Yoni had dedicated teachers who encouraged him to compose music and write poetry in both English and Hebrew.
Yoni attended USC for his undergraduate studies, majoring in Economics and minoring in Jazz Studies. During college, Yoni played guitar and saxophone in several bands, began writing music seriously, and formed the group Bazaar Ensemble.
Since graduating from college, Yoni has been a freelance musician and educator. He gigs frequently with a variety of artists and musicians throughout the LA area. Yoni also teaches at an elementary school and gives private guitar lessons to students of all ages.
Yoni's primary work is his solo project in which he composes music, writes lyrics, records, and plays live with a group of talented musicians and close friends. He released his self-titled debut EP in 2016 and his first full length album in December of 2017. Yoni has been performing regularly with his group around LA, and they plan to continue releasing new music and perform in other cities.
